Rush Hour

Their time to shine.

Back in July, our roaster's gearbox gave out mid-batch. Rush Coffee, a fellow NZ roastery we'd never even heard of, let alone worked with, sent over their spare gearbox so we could keep roasting while ours got sorted. No fuss, no hesitation, just good people helping another roastery out.

Rush Hour is us returning the favour. We took their Zingaro blend and paired it with our own Timor Natural Anaerobic single origin, one third Zingaro to two thirds Timor. The result in the cup is a silky texture, real structure and far more complexity than a two-way blend has any right to have. Hazelnut, dessert wine and baking spice up front, with a soft malt sweetness running underneath.

We made Rush Hour to say thanks and to put another great Kiwi roastery in the spotlight, instead of us. It's proof that New Zealand's coffee community backs each other when it counts, and Rush Coffee deserve the recognition for it.
