Black Rabbit Blend

For those who like it a bit stronger; our Black Rabbit Blend is roasted slightly darker than our other blends, all the while remaining remarkably smooth with an excellent depth of flavour. This is all made possible by the hero bean of this blend, a stunning example of an Timor-Leste coffee. This bean is extra special as it has been sourced directly from the villages of Timor-Leste by Wayne Green of the Wholemeal Cafe in Takaka. This coffee is also available periodically as a single origin.  

Tasting notes: Full-bodied, dark cocoa, & brown sugar with a long lingering aftertaste.

There’s been a shipping container delay with our popular Organic Timor-Leste Single Origin coffee. Since this coffee makes up a significant portion of our Black Rabbit Blend, we’ve had to make some temporary tweaks to keep the blend going until it arrives (hopefully by late February/early March).

We’ve swapped in a good quality Brazilian bean in place of Timor-Leste and adjusted the ratios of the two different Colombian beans that make up the blend. We’re really happy with the result, but it does taste slightly different to the original.
